Deb Peters, 47, handcrafts buttons as part of her business The Button Hoard, which she operates at her Menomonie home. The buttons are available at Stitch and Rip Quilt Shop, 222 Main St., Menomonie. Laura Short, executive director of Main Street of Menomonie, said, “I was surprised buttons are still being handmade and was pleased we have a Menomonie artist making and selling buttons in our downtown.”
