Main Street of Menomonie Inc. Hires New Executive Director
The Main Street of Menomonie, Inc. Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of a new Executive Director, Joanie Dulin. Dulin will replace current director, Shelley Stewart, who announced her resignation in August. Dulin will take over as director Monday, October 3, 2011.
A Menomonie native, Dulin joins Main Street of Menomonie with fourteen years of business experience. Through her experience at the University Catering office at UW-Stout and Century 21 Premier Group, Dulin has built extensive knowledge of the community. In addition to her professional experience, Dulin regularly volunteers with Girl Scouts and is a co-chair for the Oaklawn Acorn Dash. (more…)

For the past 20 years, Terry Sullivan has been on the lookout for a business to purchase. This summer, Terry’s patience will pay off as he and his wife Traci will become the new owners of Main Street Health and Fitness -effective August 1st. The Sullivan’s have great plans for the health club and hope to continue the success that was started just a few years ago by Luanne Berg. “The opportunities down here on Main Street for this fitness club are huge. Rogues’ Gallery – “Keeping it Simple for the past 17 years”
Take a drive down Main Street in Menomonie, and on the corner of Third Street and Main, you will find one of the most unique businesses in the downtown area. Rogues’ Gallery, Menomonie’s only tattoo studio, has tattooed thousands of customers over the past 14 years and they have no plans on stopping anytime soon. It all began in 1994, when Brad Knaack decided to open Rogues’ Gallery. Mr. Knaack successfully ran the tattoo shop until 2000 when he sold the business to the current owner, Patrick Ross. Patrick, a native of Chicago never really imagined himself owning a tattoo shop. His interest began after he walked into Rogues’ one day and got his first tattoo. “I liked the service I received from Rogues’ so I started hanging out there and getting to know Brad,” commented Patrick. “At the time, I was going to Stout. After leaving Stout, I started my apprenticeship with Josie Paulson at Skin Prints in Eau Claire. It takes about 2 years to go through the apprentice program so I had lots of time to learn the art of tattooing before I became a licensed tattoo artist.” (more…)

Happy Anniversary
In May of 2010, a very special event happened at the Menomonie Market Food Co-op. After countless hours of planning a few trial runs the co-op proudly introduced “The Lunchbox” to the public, offering the community a fantastically fresh new option for lunchtime dining. “The Lunchbox was a direct result of member requests for expanded ready to eat options” commented Membership and Marketing Manager Tanya Young. “It offers our customers freshly produced meals made with local and organic ingredients at a reasonable price” she continued. Nestled very quaintly within the co-op, “The Lunchbox” continues to attract new patrons and introduces them to a way to spend time in downtown Menomonie. (more…)
